Carnival parades in West Brabant

Carnival is approaching! In the Netherlands, it will be celebrated from Friday, February 17 to Tuesday, March 1. It is widely celebrated, especially in the provinces of North Brabant and Limburg. Each city has its own customs, costumes, attractions, music and other traditions.

If you will be in the West Brabant region during the carnival season, our advice is to visit the carnival parades. You can watch these parades completely for free! And there really is something to admire!

Roosendaal

The parade in Roosendaal will take place on Carnival Saturday, February 18, 2023. The parade will start at 1:11 pm and will pass through the entire city center. The carnival colors in Roosendaal are red and white.

Standaardbuiten

The parade in Standdaarbuiten takes place on Carnival Saturday, February 18. The carnival carriages, as well as the participants in the parade, are fully illuminated, which creates a very unique effect. This illuminated parade will begin around 7:30 pm.

Tilburg

The parade in Tilburg will take place on Carnival Sunday, February 19, 2023. The parade will begin at 12:30 p.m. Tilburg's carnival colors are green and orange.

Breda

The parade in Breda will take place on Carnival Monday, February 20, 2023. This parade will start at 1:11 p.m. The carnival colors in Breda are orange and red.

Bergen op Zoom

The parade in Bergen op Zoom will take place on Carnival Tuesday, February 21, 2023. The parade will begin at 1 p.m. It is important to wear, traditional for this city only, carnival attire: a fur coat or thick coat and a red neck scarf, with the tip pointing backwards.
